6 Station Shoot

http://sonyasjournalismblog.blogspot.com

Favorite Picture: I'd say the black acrylic glass picture was the best because the reflection is really nice and that the colors are reflected on the cat because of the light.

Least Favorite Picture: I don't really like the bubbles picture because it is a little bit blurry and you can't see the planet effect we were looking for.

Overall Thoughts: I really liked the way she set the pictures up and from what place she took the pictures.

Overall Fixes: I think she could improve her pictures if she would cut her objects out better.

Painting Recreation

http://grangersbowieblog.blogspot.com

I think the recreation was really good because the model/Jasmine had exactly the same outfit and pose. Also the proportions were as in the original.

The photographer definitely an acceptable job as already said. My critics are only that the model doesn't look in the camera and background is completely dark, which is different from the original. But it's definitely not necessary that he does it again.

1st Event Shoot

http://zoegarrison.blogspot.com

Favorite Picture: I think the 1st picture was the best, because I like how she captured the moment when the people talked to each other.

Least Favorite Picture: I don't like the 3rd picture so much because it is a little bit blurry and it doesn't really show anything important in my opinion.

Overall Thoughts: In general I really liked the position from which she took the photos. Also I like how she captured the moments in which the people are doing something together.

Overall Fixes: I think she could have edited the pictures a little bit better.

PhotoJ - Other High School Newspapers

Questions:

1. I really liked the Talisman from Sheldon High School (http://issuu.com/shs-talisman/docs/talisman_vol_49_issue_2_october_31_) because I think they have a great design. It is simple but the school emblem is clearly visible.

2. The Arapahoe Herald from Arapahoe High school totally grabbed my attention because of their front picture.

3. Their major headline is ''Let me speak''. I would not be so interested in if they had another picture, but with the picture I would definitely read it.

4. None

5. They all have a major headline, the school or newspapers emblem, date, name of school, address, at least one major picture.

6. Some have just one picture with a major headline and without stories but some have at least one story on the front page and hints for other stories on the following pages. Also some have more or less pictures in different sizes.

7. Most of the times they were similar but some High School newspapers don't have stories on the front and every other newspapers from around the world have at least one big story with a text on the front.

PhotoJ - Front Pages of the World

http://www.newseum.org/todaysfrontpages/?tfp_id=TX_FWST

1. I think I liked the ''Fort Worth Star-Telegram'' the best, because it has 2 pictures for the main story on the front page and a little description with a note to a later paige where the story is continued. It also had two big side stories and a few little ones around the main story but they weren't so big, another reason why I liked that front page.
2. ''31 killed as plane slams into river'' was my favorite headline, because these are news which make you stop by and look closer and buy the newspapers. I think everyone is interested in what's going on in the world.
3. 9
4. I noticed that every newspapers had one head story with a few pictures. This headline was also the biggest of all. Then every front page had a few bigger side stories with medium sized text and sometimes pictures. And of course everyone had a lot of small stories on the sides of the newspapers.
5. The varies in the newspapers were, that some had bigger or smaller pictures for the head story and some hadn't even pictures for the side stories but some had pictures for every single little side story. Also in some newspapers, the text of the side stories was bigger than in other ones.
